Everyone needs inspiration. Sometimes it just happens. For instance, when Taylor Swift was asked as a teenager to write the lyrics for her famous song, “Mean.” She decided to use the word “troll” in her song, which is used as a term of endearment in online gaming communities.
So she was asked to write the lyrics with the same word as the internet, troll, being used as a term of endearment. That is, a person who wants to be mean, an “enemy” or a bully. While the intention may be bad, the result can be deadly.
Taylor Swift started writing The Red Song around the age of 14. On the one hand, it was to learn how music is created and presented – or better, the lyrics to it. On the other hand, it was also an outlet, a platform to let out her inner artist. She used all her skills at the time – and all that she learned from one of the best teachers of her generation – in order to write about her inner self.
One of its kind. Since its creation Taylor Swift changed so much, but her voice has remained the same. From a rebellious teenager to a singer that captivated the world, she has had her share of trials and tribulations along the way, but she has come out stronger from her experiences.
She is on the move to become a global cultural icon and this means that she needs to move all over the planet, and she goes to where she thinks the next “troll is” to get her inspiration. In this respect, the world is her playground. Taylor Swift is the best example of any other artist that has had such a strong impact on global culture.
To many people, it would seem like the internet community is divided into three parts: the internet’s elite, including the musicians and other fans, the masses, and the masses. So I’m going to focus on the internet’s elite. We are talking about the top people in the world. The music industry has had its fair share of controversies because of this division, but let’s not forget the internet’s people.
