It happens to us now too. People, who previously thought we had all the answers and the best strategies to survive the coronavirus, are now questioning everything. From the way we dress, to how can we prepare for the future. No one can be sure who will win the next global war. And how could this pandemic possibly happen without all the knowledge we have today?.
The world around us has become a little more chaotic. We are learning to think for ourselves. We are learning that certain things don’t have to be done in a certain way. We can be as independent as we want to be and be prepared for the things life throws at us. We don’t all have to be together at the same time. There are things we can do ourselves by planning. We can be more adaptable and make our decisions.
There is nothing like a great surf to shake one’s world free. After all, a wave is something that comes from the heart, not the head. We have to remind ourselves not to be scared and to always seek out the best possible surfing for ourselves.
We have to remind ourselves that we do not have to do everything ourselves. Yes there are a couple people we need to talk to, but the majority would be more than happy to put in the time. Even as surfers, you have to know you are surfing on your own, and when you arent, everyone is there for you, willing to help.
In the past years we have been told of the importance of good communication and a peaceful community without stress. From being taught right and wrong, to the laws regarding the use and regulation of a surfboard it was as if we were all being indoctrinated. Today we have discovered the importance of making choices. The key ingredient, that allowed us to be comfortable and take this ride was we had an arsenal of choices on the go.
There is no way to stress about anything. Everything is in the mind or the will of another person. There is nothing to stress about because you are in control. A life without stress may not be a healthy one and that is ok. The problem lies with getting a handle of reality and putting it into perspective. We are living in a very exciting, fast moving world. A lot going on here.
