Toby Houser and his team have been doing a fantastic job with their YouTube channel, The Robot Rescue Squad. They use artificial intelligence to train rescued pets and human children. For their first show, “The Monkey’s Playground,” their team trained a monkey named Erykah and a little owl named Nany.
Erykah and Nany play an important role in The Monkeys Playground. They are the protagonists of the shows. While Erykah is helping her mother, she goes to Nany’s den to talk to its two owners. Nany lets the two children play with the robot at his hideout and Erykah helps Nany escape from his cage with the monkey.
After two successful shows Erykah and Nany are given an adorable plush toy that they can play with at the office while they go to college. While Nany is in school the two children are the ones in charge of Erykah’s education. The two are the best of friends and Erykah keeps Nany busy with their new friends by acting as his teacher at school.
In this episode, Toby has asked two college friends if they know someone who could help him train Erykah to be a part of his show, The Monkeys Playground. In their discussion they find out that Erykah would be good at this task as she enjoys working and she would not take her job for granted. They find that she enjoys going to parties with her friends, and she is the most outgoing person of the two of them.
These two videos will give you a nice look to the human side of Erykah. She’s very playful and she uses her face and body as a plaything. It is important for Erykah to enjoy playing with people and not only just toys at the playcenter. She should be able to interact with other monkeys and animals. In fact, she would love to learn from some of the monkeys before trying to be in a new setting (the playcentre).
Erykah was originally trained as a toy, a playmate for her owner, so I thought this was very cute. But she seems to be a very strong character and it makes her very fun. One of the biggest challenges will be to get her to come out and play at all when the owner is away.
