Welcome to Uncommon Spanish Last Names. It isn’t just an oddball mix of the names American, Puerto Rican, Basque, and a million other possibilities. These last names have a long, long history that spans generations. They are as simple, quirky, crazy, and absurd as the humor you find in your everyday conversations. But it is more than just a humorous way to tie a name into an ethnic group; it’s the way their last names are pronounced.

Have you heard of this guy? We were playing Twister in Central Park recently and I heard him asking a random tourist if he needed help with an umbrella. We all looked at each other and chuckled.

Welcome to my collection of Spanish Last names! This blog was created by a group of friends who are fluent in English that all grew up and live around the area where I live. My friend Greg was the first to leave his name as a tribute to the English language which is quite ironic.

The name of this blog is a nod to the original of my blog, the Spanish Last names. We have a lot of Spanish Last names! Its funny and crazy like I grew up here. All of them start with a n so most of them are funny and quirky.
