There aren’t really Christmas gifts for the Finnish. We are a very traditional country that loves to be in the Christmas spirit all year. Everyone in the city knows us through the holidays and we’re always a lot of fun to shop with. This year, we’re giving the most traditional Finnish gifts, the name gift. The names are not available on the website, but you will be able to find them at local retail stores or online through the Finnish National Library.
It should be as traditional as traditional. Just take a look at the name of the gift, which is based on the names of Finnish boy and girl and the words of the Christmas song that they sing. As an added bonus, its a gift for the kids instead of you because Finnish people make all of their children into the biggest teddy bears and cuddly toys ever! Make like a bear.
The Finnish National Library is also offering online a gift for Finnish people through the National Holiday Book Project. You can order the book through their website. The book consists of 12 titles, but with all the names in the Christmas book, each of the title has a special meaning, and every year you can add your own.
If you love reading Finnish, Finnish book on the shelves will always be a must. Look for the Finnish National Library book on Finnish boys and girls at local grocery stores and local bookstores.
