She became his Mate and Queen soon baring a son in mortal flesh who was immortal like his parents yet had a hated for all dragons. The question is also whether they are the same dragons as in Skyrim, which I actually doubt. If we ever see a future Akavir, my bet is on the dragons having been/being there is the Chinese serpent type dragon. Something like the Cloud Serpents in World of Warcraft. As for the Alduin being the ultimate resting place of souls, um that’s both interesting and disturbing. Not sure if I like the idea of Alduin getting every soul, or even just every Dragon soul.
Dragonrend is the concept of mortality, something alien to Dragonkind. Because he could quite literally destroy the world before he decided to abandon his role as World-Eater. It’s better to read my posts in the voice of GLaDOS. I don’t think there will be another Elder Scrolls game, as we have come to know them. /r/teslore is a subreddit dedicated to the discussion and creation of the vast lore of The Elder Scrolls.
During the initial Helgen attack, when the player climbs up the stairs of the tower, Alduin will sometimes sit on the side of the tower without reaction instead of breathing fire through the gap. Alduin is possibly inspired or a reference to the Dragon called Níðhöggur (pronounced Neeth-Hökk-uhr) in Norse Mythology. Níðhöggur was a dragon in Niflheim near Hel, he did almost nothing but feasting on the dead, biting the roots of the tree Yggdrasil and killing for his own amusement. Níðhöggur was a symbol of death and destruction, much like Alduin.
At any rate, I hoped that gave you some more insight onto dragons and what makes them tick . Alduin is both a real dragon and an aspect of akatosh. I don’t think he’s capable of changing forms, at least not on nirn.
I kissed the top of her head, than started to move. Both their tongue dance around, couldn’t help but let out a moan. Their both part panting, face was bright red. Alduin put his hand around her waist, than started to kiss her neck.
They use Clear Skies to get rid of the mist, but Alduin will make the mist reappear. This process must be repeated a few times before finally Alduin will come out and battle. After killing Alduin, the Dragonborn will not absorb his soul.
Obviously, the Altmer still cling to their old ways and refuse to give absolution to Lorkhan’s sundering. This creates a schism, and like others have said, could very well result in different cultural interpretations of an Aedra spawning completely different gods from the same original myth. I’ve been rambling for a while here though, so I’ll just wrap this up abruptly, as the more I try to tie it all together and elaborate on everything, the more there ends up being to elaborate on.
But Dragons would definately have been trying to rule th other races. Well Dragons did rule over in Akivar before Tseaci started killing them, no Nords involved there. Nowhere in there is any information clucks nursery on whether or not the true timetable for the fulfillment of his divinely assinged duty has been delayed or prevented. Alduin may actually be allowed to return exactly when he is supposed to.
