I’ve been a member of the business development director (BDD) industry for about 19 years now. I think I’ve been doing this job for 16 years but I’ve never gotten a consistent salary.
Ive even had an idea for a company that would pay me a really good salary based on how well I do my job. Ive been working as a business development director for a couple of years now, but Ive never gotten a salary like that.
You need to be doing the work youre doing to deserve a good salary. If youre only doing what youre doing because youre being paid, then youre not going to make your boss happy. No matter how hard you try, its going to hurt to make your boss angry.
When I was working in the corporate world, I could get pretty good at that. I was a self-motivated person who constantly improved my communication skills and presentation skills. I was also a strong believer that I was always capable of doing my best and that I was rewarded for my efforts. In the same vein, I am not averse to rewards. I am a person who works hard for a reward, and I am not going to say that in a vacuum.
The problem is that being a successful manager is a very complex and nuanced profession. You need a manager who is able to balance multiple personalities, skills, and experiences. A successful manager will have the ability to understand their team members with all their faults and weaknesses. In this role, you need to be able to make sure that the people around you are doing this and that they are doing that. You need to be able to guide your team members to the best of their abilities.
Being a manager is tough because you have to be able to do multiple things well simultaneously.
I’ve seen people who are able to juggle a multitude of roles at once, but they don’t make a lot of money. They may have a great job, but they don’t make a lot of money. Being a manager is easy though because you have to be able to balance multiple things. It’s all about managing your team and the environment around you.
One of the toughest challenges I have as a manager is finding ways to motivate and retain my team members. At our company, we have a lot of “passive” managers that work with us day in and day out. So I have to be able to motivate them and their families.
I think one of the reasons a lot of business development directors don’t make a lot of money is that they have to make a lot of decisions that are not only difficult, but also take time. A manager has to get on the phone with his direct reports and make them understand the company’s mission and then figure out how to best accomplish their goals.
