Cushing, Archbishop of Boston, on April 26, 1955, the Augustinian Feast of Our Mother of Good Counsel. Over the years, this church has been the site of religious services including ordinations to the priesthood, marriages of graduates, funerals of Augustinians and faculty members, Baccalaureate Masses for graduating classes and Sunday Eucharist for the campus community. Spellman, who had been an auxiliary bishop of Boston, was both the Archbishop of New York and a cardinal.
