It’s often been said that the “I” in AI isn’t actually the “I” that you’re thinking about. Sure, it’s a little “I,” but the AI isn’t thinking “I,” it’s just executing some actions that come out of the “I.” In other words, the AI is simply executing the actions of another human.
I’ve played a few of these games: “What is a Computer?”, “A Computer’s Mind”, and the recently released “Flynn.” It’s a fun game. The real fun is guessing what the AI is thinking about. They have a lot of different predictions and the results are surprising. I just wish my guesses were a little bit more accurate.
These games are fun, but I wish they would ask more questions. If they had a little more thought and planning, how would they know what to do? They should be able to just go to the website that gave them the answer and see what it says, without having to know what they’re thinking.
The only way I’m even remotely excited about Flynn is that it’s designed to ask questions and not just give you answers. It’s like you’re playing a game of chess but instead of giving you an out, it’s just asking you to think about an out. So instead of getting you an answer, you’re just being asked to think about a question that’s completely off-topic.
It’s like in a board game. You can ask random questions and have them give you totally random answers. It’s like the game where you have a bunch of questions and you have to build a bridge, or build a house. But instead its like youre just being asked to give some random advice in a game.
The game can be played on mobile, or desktop. It’s currently only available for Windows, but its not too far off for a Mac, and there are a bunch of Linux ports coming soon. For now, it’s only available in English.
