To be honest with you, I’m not sure how much a business development manager makes. Business development managers are, after all, the people who help to create and grow your business. There is no doubt that they earn a lot of money and do a whole lot of work for you. For the more that I know about business development managers, the number that they make seems to vary. Some people make thousands of dollars a year, others make over a hundred thousand.
I have heard people say that they make, and what they make is a big mystery. A business development manager is one of the most valuable and most important people in your company. There is a reason they are usually the top hire in your company and are the people who are promoted to a senior position. But a lot of business development managers make a lot of money for themselves but rarely for their companies.
The average for a business development manager in the Fortune 500 is about $170,000. That’s a lot but a lot of money. Not surprisingly then, the average for a business development manager in the top one percent in the US is over $200,000. In fact, in the top 25% of the US business development managers are making a fortune that’s more than $200,000 a year.
The average for business development managers is about 170,000 a year. But the top 25 business development managers make a fortune is about 200,000. Thats more than 200,000 a year.
It seems like a lot to me. I’m sure you’re not alone. If you are like me you probably have this idea that you deserve more money, that you have a lot of friends, that you have talent, that your job is your passion and that you have a lot of skills. I bet you also have a lot of friends and are proud of them.
Most people would agree that they are not just some generic worker. In fact, a lot of people think they are the best workers. That is because they have a unique set of skills that the rest of the world does not. This is important because it takes a lot of the pressure off of the general manager in the company. For the general manager, you are your company. You do your work a certain way (the company’s way), and that is what counts.
I can tell you from personal experience that I would say that these skills, or talents, are not really transferrable. In fact, I would say that the skills are mostly unique to each person. The skills of the business development manager are not only unique but are also hard to train. You cannot just send people out into the workplace and expect them to become business development managers.
Your company’s business is much like a company. Your company makes your company. The business development manager is the business development manager your company hires. Your company is your company, and you are your company. You are your company. A business development manager is not a business development manager because they are not your business. You are your business.
Not only that, but if you are a business development manager, you are in business development management. You are in business. And if your job is to “train” other people to be business development managers, you are the company’s business development manager. Your job is to manage the business. You are the company’s business development manager.
That last bit of the sentence sounds like a lot of business. I mean we know that the most successful companies are those that are the most successful in their field. They are the ones that are able to hire the best people and develop them accordingly. Business development managers are no different. We need them. So, I’m going to guess you are a business development manager.
