I’ve been told that “how pays engineers salespeople” is one of my favorite slogans for a few years now. It has a nice ring to it, and I think it works pretty well. It is funny because it feels like a more sophisticated version of “you’re doing it right” that is all about how the salesperson does his job.
It’s not just that how is such good at what he does, that he also has a good time with it. It is that he is selling a product. It is what he does, the way that he does it, that makes him successful. So yes, he does have a good time. But he also does what he does for a living.
If a salesperson is having a good time, that doesn’t mean that the product he sells isn’t also having a good time. And it is the salesperson’s job to sell the product. And that means that if the salesperson is having a good time, it means that the product is having a good time too. Or, in this case, it means that the salesperson is also having a good time. In my mind it is the same thing.
So when I think of good time, I think of my father. And that is because he always had a good time. He just wasn’t aware of it.
So I love this quote.
Good times are usually defined by a positive attitude. And a positive attitude is a feeling of enjoyment. So it is very important to learn how to make your customers feel good. One way to do that is to find people and ask them questions they are always interested in. This will make them feel good.
In our interviews we’ve found that salespeople are great at this, as well as the “how to” that is their number one selling point. They are always seeking to sell you something. It’s like watching a football game. You have to know exactly what you are looking for. But they are so good at it that they can turn up the heat and take you from cold to hot. And in the end, they will have made you a believer.

And these are the guys that I personally call when I need to sell a service. Like, I want to sell the services of a carpenter to someone that is hiring carpenters to build a house. Or I want to go out to a restaurant and tell the chef that I am the only one that can make his lobster tail taste like an apple. Or I want to go to a business meet and ask the person that is making the presentation to let me sit in on the meeting.
What I’m talking about here is an informal sales approach. Think of it as the sales reps that we have at our business meetings. Usually the person that is making the presentation is the salesperson that is going to be selling the services. Our goal is to get the meeting to go well, and for the person doing the presentation to be more than happy.
