It is easy to find and easy to get in and that’s the good part. The spaces are wide enough and long enough for my truck and fifth wheel. The sites are not kept up as there are weeds everywhere the black top is cracked and the sites are a bit uneven.
Be careful as the water pressure is over 100 psi so make sure you use your water pressure reducer. Not the worst park I stayed at but not the best either. I would recommend going to Sparks Marina Park down the road. Oh, make sure you lock up, there were some shady characters hanging around the park when we returned to the RV from the casino. I never did see any security drive through, nor did I see any cameras in the park.
As others said there is noise from planes and an occasional train whistle, but the planes seemed to stop flying over after 11pm and I only heard the train once. We checked in late so never got the Wi-Fi info or code for the restroom, but didn’t really need it. The entry was being replaced, so finding our way in was a bit challenging, but eventually figured it out.
Nice laundry room and we were able to grab a bag of ice. In 2009, The Meruelo Group began looking at the property with an interest to purchase it. CEO Alex Meruelo was intrigued by the property’s potential to truly become an elite destination resort. After negotiations between Meruelo and JPMorgan, a deal was reached to sell the 145-acre site for only $42 million. This payment was made in cash, and the deal was announced in February 2011. Quickly, the deal closed after regulatory approval in April 2011.
Sat was $50, Sun + Mon are $40 for a pull through in the older section of the park. Lousy uneven sites and long hike to the casino. Trash every where along the fence and no grandma in french slang one cares. Wal- mart parking lot would have been better. I’ve seen a lot of poor reviews on google but honestly I don’t think it’s that bad of a place to park the trailer.
$50 is the deposit they charge the hotel guests which you are supposed to get refunded if you don’t charge anything to your room, Er uh rv site? The $16.95 on top of that is addition “resort fees” they charge you, like it or not, for access to the resort pool etc. We only needed an overnight stay just passing through with no intentions of using the resort for any of that but they charge you anyway. We also had confusion over the charges and had to spend an hour trying to fix.
If you understand that all it is, is a parking lot with hookups and nothing special it’s pretty good. You have access to all the same stuff if you booked a room at GSR. The biggest gripe I have is all the goat head thorns that litter the gravel areas.
Those companies, including the Navengante Group and Santo Gaming, both Las Vegas based, continued to make improvements to the resort such as adding or replacing restaurants. The hotel/condo program was eliminated and settlements with buyers are ongoing to this day, the renovated rooms above the 17th floor that are non-private owned rent as hotel rooms. Grand Sierra Resort (formerly MGM Grand Reno, Bally’s Reno and Reno Hilton) is a hotel and casino located approximately three miles east of Downtown Reno, Nevada. The hotel has 1,990 guest rooms and suites, 12 restaurants, including Charlie Palmer Steak by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer, and a casino with 80,000 sq ft of space. It is owned and operated by Southern California based investment group headed by The Meruelo Group. This is basically a parking lot with hook ups.
