I can’t even count the number of times I’ve been in a car, and then looked over at the person next to me and said, “Did I just drive a car?” I’m a person who enjoys the freedom of driving, but it can be a very lonely experience, especially as my days get busier.
I’m always curious as to why people who have to drive a car constantly end up being so miserable. This is one of those things that makes me feel kind of like a broken record, but I’ll tell you what, I’m not complaining.
While driving, we find ourselves wondering what it must be like to be a person with disabilities. The vast majority of people with disabilities have a very good reason for not driving.
When you’re on autopilot for so long, it’s almost impossible to remember exactly how you were driving or how you were stopping or how many people stopped you when you were driving. I would say that it is often impossible to know that your drive is at the end of a long day. You can look back at the time you were driving, and wonder what it must have been like when you were driving.
It is also impossible to remember the exact moment when you stopped the car or stopped the car on the edge of a cliff, and the exact moment when a person with a disability hit a watermelon so hard that it bounced off the back of a person with a disability and then bounced back and hit the back of you. But I still had a good time looking at that.
I don’t know if I’m a really good driver (or if I don’t know the right things to do when I’m driving) but something I can do to get myself to do what needs to be done is to make a list of things I might want to do. As I said, I don’t know if I really do it for long periods of time, but I make a list.
If only we could be like the people who made the motivational i can do it list.
In the past few weeks we’ve all heard a lot about the “motivational i can do it” list. But when I look at the list, I see a pattern. First, I need to do something that requires effort. Then, that same thing demands an effort to do. Then, I am motivated to do it because I have to do it. And finally, I am motivated to do it because I want to accomplish something in life.
For a lot of us, motivation and effort are two different things. We need to do something for a while, then we want to do something else. We want to make our lives easier. But if we don’t feel motivated to do something, it usually won’t get done. For example, many of you are probably used to a certain degree of effort required to get things done. We all know that if we don’t want something, we have to try very hard to get it.
We all know that if we want something, we have to first put it in our minds. We have to set a goal and then go back and work hard at it. But for a lot of us, we dont really have the energy for it. We have a lot of other things going on in our life. It can be hard to get motivated to do something we need to do, because we have so many different things.
