But for years now I’ve been thinking about what beer looks like, and what it tastes like. I think beer is a good thing but you have to remember that there are many things that can mess up your life. I started drinking beer in the late ’80s because I was trying to be a better alcoholic. Then my brother, who was born in the early ’80s, decided to start a beer festival. Each spring, beer enthusiasts in the Atlantic City area descend upon the convention center for a weekend filled with suds, sounds and surprises.

If you haven’t tried the pride of Long Beach’s award winning brews yet, what’s been stopping you? A multiple medalist at the Great American Beer Fest, Beachwood excels at crafting an impressive variety of west coast IPAs, among other stellar offerings. Thanks to a recent expansion into Huntington Beach, finding Beachwood’s bottled brews no longer requires a hunting expedition. While the brewery’s hoppy beers should be at the top of your list at the fest, be on the lookout for their fantastic sours courtesy of Beachwood’s Blendery offshoot.
Cedric Dautinger studied journalism and is now the head-writter of BEER.BE since 2015. Trained as well in oenology, he promotes a inclusive and accessible way of tasting beer.. Bar Angeles serves gastropub fare to go along with a solid drink program. My personal favorite is the Crispy Polenta cake topped with wild mushrooms, bitter greens, and a mascarpone sauce reminiscent of country gravy, all topped off with a fried egg. All attendees of LA Beer Fest must be fully vaccinated to attend the event.
