I also have a warrior at lvl 43 atm, and it’s pure hell, even though I provided him weapons and some kind of gear aswell. Do you want to stop and smell the roses by immersing yourself in the lore? Do quests, but keep in mind that you will be fighting for spawns a lot.
The sooner you get to the good stuff in the combat tree, the better off your are. Anyway, you guys are right, I will add a section about rotations to use while leveling. If you improve your guide to address these issues, you are welcome to move the guide back to it’s proper category. If someone else would like to adopt the guide, please leave a comment.
At this time, the level 70 PvP rewards are mediocre at best. Many quest items and a ton of instance drops are better. This is with the exception of arena rewards, but be ready for some serious competition in there. Believe me it is nothing like the easy loot that you can get from running AV, WSG and AB at 60 for the rank 14 epics.
Although Subtlety and Assassination have their supporters, Combat is the clear winner when it comes to DPS output and the flexibility. This is a brief analysis of all three specs along with reasons why they do or do not excel as building for leveling. Rogues are chock full of “get out of jail for free” cards. Vanish is an tbc rogue leveling spec instant stealth mode that allows you to get away from enemies and is also a great way to take on Dungeons or raids to eliminate threats that have been accumulated. Evasion helps them avoid damage, and Cloak of Shadows eliminates all spells that cause harm and makes you 90% resistant to other damaging spells for 5 seconds.
Strength – Increases your attack power by a lesser amount than Agility. Rogues have more crowd control available than any other class, easily able to nullify several enemies at once. Initiating a fight with Sap, hitting a target with Blind, using Gouge and Kidney Shot can easily even the odds in your favor.
A lot of the choices can feel very similar, with talents like Blade Twisting and Aggression doing very similar things, but they all work in synergy together to massively boost your power. As far as gear is concerned, look for any “of the Monkey” or equivalent items that have both Agility and Stamina. Other stats like Attack Power, Crit % and Hit % are also good to have. Strength, on the other hand, is a fairly mediocre stat for Rogues, providing only 1 AP, whereas Agility gives 1 AP in addition to Crit, Dodge and Armor.
Glyph of Pick Lock – Makes your Pick Lock instant cast, saving you a lot of time, especially while leveling the skill. Glyph of Sinister Strike – Sinister Strike criticals have a 50% chance to add another combo point. This is invaluable and easily the best Glyph you can get. Most of your damage will be from auto attacks and having abilities miss at lower levels of play can be devastating. It will reset the cooldown on Evasion, Sprint, Vanish, Cold Blood, Shadowstep, and Premeditation.
The result is that, as haste rating on gear becomes more prevalent, the Trophy’s proc loses value relative to equivalent amounts of other stats. By the end of Sunwell, certain combinations of gear result in the Trophy falling behind other trinkets. Consult the spreadsheet to determine exactly when this might happen for you. For Hemorrhage builds, the mandatory talents are Serrated Blades and Hemorrhage. For trispec Hemo sword builds, note that one point of Sword Specialization and one point of Weapon Expertise are each superior to one point of Dirty Deeds for sustained DPS. For trispec Hemo Deadliness builds, taking Blade Flurry is superior to taking a fifth point in Deadliness.
